Bill Lord
Bill Lord grew-up in Forsyth, Georgia and attended Georgia Southern University. In 1968, he was “selected” by his neighbors to serve in the US military. After basic and advanced training, he was chosen for NCO School at Ft Benning and then joined the 1st Air Calvary Division in Viet Nam. He was assigned to Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion, of the 8th Calvary where he served as a machine gun team leader, a squad leader, and platoon Sargent. His awards and badges
include the Combat Infantryman Badge, Purple Heart, Bronze Star, the Air Medal and the Viet Nam service and campaign ribbons. He came home on Christmas day, 1970 and then returned to Georgia Southern to complete his degree in Industrial Technology. He retired from AT&T in 1998 after 25 years of service and from Accenture in 2005. He began his own sales performance consulting firm in 2005 and the economy retired him from that in 2008. He retired from AT&T in 1998 after 25 years of service and from Accenture in 2005. He began his own sales performance consulting firm in 2005 and the economy retired him from that in 2008. His sales, sales management and sales performance consulting career have taken him to 45 of the 50 states and 18 countries on five continents. He currently works with his wife, Brenda, in a cupcake bakery in Cornelius, NC. Bill and Brenda live in Huntersville, NC and their two children live close and keep them busy with grandchildren. Bill is very active at LIFE Fellowship Church where he serves as a men’s bible study teacher, a LIFE Group leader and serves on the elder team.
